How can I avoid my underwear showing under summer clothes?

I’ve just about got my summer wardrobe sorted, but now I’m looking for an elegant solution for under my white skirts and especially my favourite white linen trousers. I don’t really like wearing thongs, but I don’t want my underwear to show through. Can you help?  

First and foremost, you need to choose lingerie in the right tints. Cognac or caffè latte are preferable under white, although summer colours geisha and geisha mint are also very well suited.  And believe it ore not, but red is ideal under white! 

Shorts and hot pants are ideal alternatives to a thong. These styles keep the bottom of the buttocks covered. Other styles can pinch into the buttocks halfway, which can be a very undignified sight. We would really recommend the no-hem hot pants in the Ines series too. The lack of a hem means they don’t leave a mark, even under the tightest trousers. They feel like a second skin and always stay in place, which means you can look forward to summer in confidence.
