NOVEMBER: I’m looking for a bra with a wide central front panel. The central front panel is often too narrow for me. As a result, the bra is not always as stable as I’d expect.
OCTOBER: Am I right in thinking that my size in a corsage or guêpière is the same as my bra size?
SEPTEMBER: Puis-je partir du principe que ma taille de bustier ou de guêpière est la même que ma taille de soutien-gorge?
AUGUST: I take a large cup and I was wondering what I should look out for when buying a bra? I want good lift and a good figure, but how do I achieve that?
JULY: I’ve lost a lot of weight recently, but astonishingly my cup size appears to have increased. How is that possible?
JUNE: Why can’t you just quickly make some more when a series runs out but demand is still high?
MAY: I’m looking for colours that don’t show under light summerwear, but I’m not a fan of the colour Cognac.
APRIL: What’s the best way to push up my breasts?
MARCH: How can I change those proportions to make my breasts look smaller?
ARCHIVE
The first thing you should do is push your breasts inwards towards your body. The best way to do that is to wear a bra with an extra side section in the cup made of very firm material and a stiff lower cup to provide good lift.
If your breasts are still naturally firm, you could try a Marie Jo bra with a horizontal seam along a reinforcing strip under the cups. There is a balconnet in most Marie Jo-series in size 70E.
Size 65 is not as common in Marie Jo, so you might want to have a look at what PrimaDonna has to offer (www.primadonna.eu). PrimaDonna has a range of full-cup bras and three-piece bras with centring side section and you are sure to find something that suits you, even if your breasts have lost some of their firmness.
You may feel that your breasts look bigger when you wear one of these bras, but other people will actually feel you look slimmer.
To conclude, a little tip about the most flattering clothing for your body type. Steer clear of shoulder pads and wide puffed-up sleeves. And be sure to check the position of the seam between shoulder and arm. The nearer the body it is the broader your shoulders will look. A few centimetres either way makes a huge difference.
If you’d like to make your hips look wider, wear trousers with pockets at the sides. A low belt will also do the trick.
