'There was a sweet lingerie store at the end of the street in my little Dutch town. I would pass by it every day on the way home and would secretly eye the beautiful bras in the window, wondering how it felt to wear such pretty sets of lingerie. I'd been raised to be practical about my undergarments. Beige, beige and more beige. No strings/thongs, no lace, nothing showing. Very conservative. Very boring. My husband encouraged me to go into the store one day. I imagine he was tired of 'practical' after 14 years of marriage. So with the store owner’s assistance, we picked out a Marie Jo L'Aventure simple beige bra and string panty as well as a patterned set. Fauzia, the shopkeeper made me feel comfortable and daring. She told me to just try them for 2 or 3 days, and assured me I would never go back to my old lingerie.....and she was right. Since that time I have collected as many styles as my budget permits. Before I moved back to the US from Holland I even got my mother wearing Marie Jo. I love how feminine I feel in them... like wearing a secret, that is all mine. It is fun when people notice my pretty shoulder straps as they peak from under my shirts. Sometimes I need to still be practical and I love the plain bras for that, but boy is it fun to look practical on the outside and feel sexy underneath.

If it hadn't been for Fauzia, I would have never tried Marie Jo...her persistence helped me find just the right style and fit, and your line of lingerie has opened me up to a new feeling of femininity. Thank you. I only wish they were more accessible in the United States.'
